Privacy policy

Effective September 14, 2026. This policy describes the current ProjectCalc release at projectcalctools.com.

Calculations stay in your browser

Interactive calculations run on your device. ProjectCalc does not operate a calculation database, require an account or send calculator input values to a calculation API.

Optional local storage

When you select Save, the tool stores up to five calculations for that calculator in your browser’s local storage. This includes inputs, selected units and a timestamp. Anyone using that browser profile may be able to load them. Use Clear saved calculations in the tool or clear site data in your browser to remove them.

Shared links and copying

A shared calculation embeds input values in the URL fragment after the # character. Browsers do not send that fragment in an ordinary HTTP request, but people and applications receiving the complete link can read its contents. Copy and Share use your browser or device features. Only share information you intend to disclose.

Hosting and technical records

Our hosting provider may process request information such as IP address, browser information, requested path and time for delivery, reliability and security. This is separate from optional calculation storage. Hosting data handling is governed in part by the provider’s practices and applicable law.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Google Analytics 4 is optional. Until you choose Allow analytics in the footer, we do not load its tag or send it analytics requests. Declining has no effect on calculator access. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals by keeping analytics off.

If you allow analytics, Google receives page views, calculator identifiers, and actions such as copying, saving or opening the print dialog. We exclude input values, results, saved calculations, URL query strings and shared-link fragments from analytics events. Referrers are limited to their origin. Google also processes technical information and cookie identifiers for measurement. See how Google uses information from partner sites. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled.

Your choice is stored locally for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies expire within 180 days without extending on each visit. You can withdraw consent using Your privacy choices in the footer; this clears our Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tag. Withdrawal stops future collection; contact us about privacy requests concerning information already processed. Browser restrictions or blockers may also prevent measurement.

Advertising remains inactive. Reserved advertising spaces do not contact an ad network. Any future advertising activation requires a separate privacy and consent review and an updated policy.

Contact messages

If you email us, your email service and ours process your address and message. We use messages to respond to inquiries, investigate corrections and maintain the service. Do not send sensitive project or personal information. Contact us to request deletion of correspondence, subject to records we need to retain for legitimate or legal purposes.
